Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns serves those families and individuals that fall between 30 and 60 percent of the state’s median income. The most recent census data shows that nearly 20 percent of families in the affiliate area could qualify for a Habitat home.
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns builds simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with a no interest loan. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.
