Sheridan College Construction Technology
Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns (HFHEB) has a unique and valued partnership with Sheridan College’s Construction Technology department. Since construction professionals work outside in a building environment, students complete their require class hours on Habitat worksites where students receive hands-on training from Habitat's site supervisor.

HFHEB hosts a team of AmeriCorps NCCC members each year to help keep the construction process on schedule and get the homeowners in a timely manner. They work in Sheridan from 6-10 weeks where they also help out with other local non-profits.
AmeriCorps NCCC is a 10 month service program for 18-24 year olds that aims to strengthen communities and develop leaders. They serve all over the US in different projects in education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, veterans and military families, disaster relief, and economic opportunity.
Wyoming Department of Labor - Apprenticeship
In partnership with the WY Department of Labor, HFHEB offers a paid construction apprenticeship. Apprentices will work directly with the site supervisor who will lead and teach them a construction curriculum, which will allow them to work towards a construction certification.
