Four years ago, Hilary Herbert was in a life changing accident. While traveling back from Story, she and three others, were in a car accident that left her a quadriplegic. New to Sheridan, her parents sought out the support of the community in order to provide her the necessary therapies at home. The Sheridan community, of course, responded. Today, the Herbert family is needing the same response from the Sheridan community to help provide them a home.
Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Rotary, SHAC and others to provide the Herbert family a safe, decent home for Hilary. Normally, a Habitat family is left with a mortgage that they are required to pay monthly. We would like to alleviate this additional stress from the Herbert family by raising the entire amount of their mortgage, $200,000.
